The farm Driekoppen has been occupied since the mid 1800’s. It was acquired by the family, Van Rensburg in 1998. The primary business of the farm is Game farming. Cattle ranching is practiced on the neighbouring farms of Combrinckspoort and Maudville.

The immediate steps taken after acquisition were extensive renovations to the old sandstone farm house , sandstone outbuildings, fences and roads that make up the farmstead. Everything was overgrown, decrepit, rusted and in a general state of neglect. The beautiful sandstone farm house was in a state of disrepair after standing empty for more than 30 years and was overgrown by vegetation. Renovation to the old farmhouse and surrounds was a real daunting task that took more than one year to complete. Today the sandstone buildings of Driekoppen are regarded as one of the real gems of the Witkoppe area.
